Northview Heights UFAS Compliance Renovation Pittsburgh PA
Working as part of the Construction Management team with Turner Construction and Chester Engineers, Chronicle Consulting's responsibilities include verification of contractors' progress billings and work in place, preparation of progress billings to the Housing Authority, quality control and code compliance review, verification of compliance with applicable mandated wage rates (certified payroll verification), and minority project participation goals.
The project entails UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards) compliant renovations to a total of seventeen (17) buildings, throughout the Northview Heights public housing project. The project scope includes both site and building demolition and new UFAS code compliant site access and apartment renovations. In addition to renovation of select two story housing units, the existing Recreation Center and on site classroom facilities are also being renovated. All work is being coordinated with a geothermal heating system being provided to the housing complex, under a separate contract.
